Show LA VERKIN La -Verkin, March 2S. Scout Commissioner Com-missioner John Young with other scout leaders of Cedar City spent Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday here. Two troops from St. George were here Saturday-taking Saturday-taking swimming tests, also one troop from Toquerville and one from Virgin that 'stayed over Saturday night and held a pow-wow. Both the latter troops attended Sunday school here. We invite them all to come again. Elder George L. Hinton who just returned from the Southern States mission took up the time in sacrament sacra-ment meeting last Sunday in very interesting reports of his experiences in the mis-sion field. The Relief Society put on a one-act one-act play and a dance here last Tuesday Tues-day night. A large crowd was out from the surrounding towns and all seemed to have a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. DeMill went to Cedar City last Friday where Mrs. DeMill will receive medical treatment. treat-ment. - Representations are being made for a big opening free dance at the new hall which is nearing completion. comple-tion. O. H. Barnhurst came on from his sheep camp last Monday and visited here a few days. Cecil Sanders was a visitor here Sunday from the B. A. C. at Cedar City. Clarence Sanders was a Cedar City visitor here Thursday and Fridny. Oreu Ruesch of Springdale is here running the A. J. F. Stout farm. |
