Show WASHINGTON j Washington. March 29. Golden Paxman and Miss Roka Tanner were ; married in the St. George temple to- day. Th groom is a son of Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Paxman and the late A'. A. Pax-man Pax-man and the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tanner, all highly high-ly respected residents of this place. A wedding dance was given by the young couple to all their friends in the gym last evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Roland of Springville, who have lived here the past winter, have gone to Rockvilie. Mr. Roland is with the Ely-Reynolds i. Construction Co. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Crawford and son Karl, and Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum ! Lamb and daughter Miss Thora of Enterprise were visiting relatives here" Thursday. i 'Cecil Thayne, daughter of Mr. ! and Mrs. George T. Thayne, respected ! residents of this place, was married j to Elis Murry of Mapleton last week. : Miss Helen Moody spent Thursday in Cedar City, Mrs. Mina Larson took her place in the school room while she was gone. Mrs. Margaret Averett and son Harry have returned from Los Angeles, Ange-les, Cal., where they spent the past year. Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Andrus and family of Cedar City was visiting relatives and friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gould have returned from points in California where they spent the past winter. Calvin Hall has paved the sidewalk in front of his store with cement. A good improvement. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hafen have returned from Salt Lake where they spent a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Alger of Enterprise are visiting here with their daughter, Mrs. Eva Paxman. Mrs. Ruth Wittwer of Minersville is visiting here with the mother, Mrs. Ellen Westover. Mrs. Jennie Hall entertained the Les Amies club Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hall have left expecting to be gone for some time. Leslie Isom of Hurricane was the guest of Miss Nina Nisson Sunday. |
