Show LIONS TO HONOR ATHLETIC TEAMS Bingham Canyon Lions Club will be hosts to a banquet at the Civic Center tomorrow night, Saturday, May 26 at C:15 p.m. honoring the Bingham High School athletic teams and coaching coach-ing staff, according to Jack Ma-her, Ma-her, publicity chairman. A program has been arranged and pictures of the University of Utah and San Francisco basketball bas-ketball game will be shown. Museum Custodian Wanted Anyone interested in being custodian at the museum located locat-ed in the old bank building, make application to C. A. "Spud Murley, Pete Dimas or Earl T. James. Stale Convention St. George in sunny Dixie is site of the Lions annual state convention on June 7, 8, and 9. Following is a preview of the jjrogram planned for those going go-ing to the convention opening day, registration, in the evening a mixer and get-acquainted dance. (Sport clothes and cottons will be the style.) The second day there will be a joint meeting in the morning, at noon a luncheon for the ladies (for this a lightweight light-weight suit or dress with hat, will set the mood). That evening there will be a Necrology Service Ser-vice followed by a barbecue. (For this- peddle pushers, slacks or dark cottons will do nicely.) On the last day, a scenic trip to the Lion's lodge in beautiful Pine Valley mountains where brunch will be served. Here again you might wear slacks, peddle pushers push-ers or dark cottons. Dressy affair is the Governor's banquet that night. |
