Show FIREMEN WILL BURN BUILDING THBJUNDAY The Bingham Volunteer Fire Department has completed plans for drills in connection with the burning of the house at 115 Carr Fork next Sunday, May 27th at 10:30 o'clock a.m. All of the equipment in use by the department depart-ment will be demonstrated in the various evolutions that will take place. A rescue team, using Chemox masks will show how to save a person from a burning room and then revive him with the resusi-tator. resusi-tator. This demonstration will be under the direction of Captain Joe Susaeta. A salvage crew, under the direction di-rection of Lieutenant Hugo tiianchi will show how to cover the furniture in a room, preventing prevent-ing damage by smoke and water and how to rid a building of excess ex-cess water. Captain Ross Cushing will direct di-rect a squad Of men in ventilating ventilat-ing the building and controlling an attic fire. Fires will be extinguished in different parts of the house using us-ing various hose streams and other extinguishing agents under the direction of Lieutenant Verl Peterson. Assistant Chief Louis Arritola will have charge of placing the pumpers at their stations and supplying the hose streams necessary nec-essary in the drills. Chief John J. Creedon will supervise the drills and assist in narrating the problems over an amplifying system furnished by the American LaFrance representatives, repre-sentatives, Lorenzo Smith and Son. This company will also furnish fur-nish equipment ' showing the value of portable extinguishers in small fires. The public is invited to witness the drills. Climax of the demonstration demon-stration will be the complete destruction de-struction of the building by fire. |
