C. basketball team won the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho junior college basketball championship Monday evening when they defeated Ricks, 45 to 36 in the final game of the ninth annual tournament. B. A. C. gained permanent possession pos-session of a silver loving cup presented' pre-sented' by the Ogden chamber of commerce,.' for this was the third time in the history of the tournament tourna-ment that a Cedar City five has won the bunting. The brilliant shooting of Watts was the deciding decid-ing factor in the victory of the Cedarites. He bagged ten field goals and five foul pitches for a total of 25 points. He was ably supported by the close guarding of Porter and Osborne, and the ball feeding of Whicker and Walker. Walk-er. Osborne held Watts, Ricks forward, for-ward, down to one field goal. The Champions held the lead almost throughout the game, although al-though it was rather a slim one until shortly after the opening of the third quarter, when Harris, star Ricks center, went out of the game on personals. The victors gradually drew, away, and the count at the end of the third quarter was 39 to 26. The half score was 21 to 18 for B. A. C. The game, featured by the almost al-most perfect teamwork of the Cedar Ce-dar five, was rather rough in spots. Five men, one of B. A. C. and four of Ricks, left the game on fouls. Dixie played three games in the tournament, losing to Ricks and Weber and "winning from Albion. The Dixie scores follow: Weber vs. Dixie Weber 45 G. T.F.P.
