Show ROCKVILLE Rockville. August 17. State Engineer En-gineer Means, Chauncey Parry of the Utah Parks Co., Harvey Jackson, J. Pierce and David A. Dennett, state road patrolman, made a trip over the Zion Park-Grand Canyon highway on the 16. A number of improvements improve-ments are to be made on this road, work to begin immediately. Will Langston, Marvin Terry and John Winder are hauling truck loads of fruit from here to northern points. Many loads of melons, peaches, and pears have already been shipped and a great deal of fruit is ready to be shipped this week. Elders R. A. Morris and B. Jarvis, Jr., of the stake high council attended attend-ed Sunday school and sacrament meeting. They both gave interesting interest-ing talks and their visit was much enjoyed. Ivan, Reed, and Miss Hazel Langs-ton Langs-ton of Hurricane, Mr. and Mrs. Niles Earl and family of Virgin visited Mr. and Mrs. Orley Dalton Sunday. Hundreds of cars are passing to and from Zion park daily, last week being exceptional in the number of cars going through. Miss Maida DeMill is home from St. George where she has been for some time visiting her sister, Mrs. Irving Bryner. Homer Stout of Provo spent the week end here visiting his sister, Mrs. Mary C. Hirschi. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dalton of Los Angeles, Cal., visited relatives here last week. ' Irving Dalton is home from Cedar City where he has been working for some time. Mrs. Perry DeMill is home from a month's vacation on Cedar mountain. Guy DeMill left Saturday on a business trip to St. George. |
