Show STATE DEFERS DECISION' ON ROAD CHANGE APPEAL The delegation which went to Salt Lake to meet with the state road commission to work for change of state highway through this city from First North to Tabernacle street, met with the commisison at the state capitol Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Theee of the delegation returned last night, Charles Whipple, W. B. Mathis and Fred A. Reber. When- s-een by a representative of the News this morning, Mr. Whipple said that Chairman Peterson of the state road commission told the delegation dele-gation that he would be down in the near future and look the prospect over before deciding what to do in the matter of changing the road. Regarding cement pavement, the delegation got no satisfaction whatever. what-ever. Mr. Peterson paid a high compliment to the people here for their interest in the roads, as shown by the large delegation present. Those present at this meeting were Judge D. H. Morris, D. C. Watson, W. A. Whitehead, N. J. Wadsworth, Warren Cox, Fred A. Reber, W. B. Mathis, Jos. W. Judd, Charles Whipple, Whip-ple, Albert E. Miller, Jos. W. Judd, James Judd, Jim Johnstun, W. W. Cannon and Leo A. Snow. Among those who went up to oppose op-pose the proposed change were Samuel Sam-uel Judd, Joseph S. Snow, Walter C. Pace, Dean A. Clark and Ellis J. Pickett. |
