Show NOTICE TO WATER USERS State Engineer's Office, Salt Lake City, Utah, May 2nd, 1927. Notice is hereby given that the Dixie Power Co. whose, principal place of business is Cedar City, Utah has made application in accordance with Sec. 8, Chapter 67, Session Laws of Utah 1919 and 1925 to change the place of use and point of return of 25 c. f. s. of water from Santa Clara Creek in Washington County, Utah. Said water has heretofore been diverted di-verted by virtue of certificate No. 1293 at a point N 66 8' W. 2300 ft. from the SW cor. Sec. 14, T. 39 S. R. 16 W., S. L. B. & M. and used from January 1 to December 31 inclusive in-clusive of each year for generating power at the company's plants, one of which is located in the NSEVt Sec. 32, of aforesaid Township and Range 'and the other in SWSE Sec. 11, T. 40 S., R. 17 W. After having been so used the water was returned to the natural channel of Santa Clara Creek at a point N. 22 10' E. 734 ft. from the SVi cor. of said Sec. 11. It is now desired to divert di-vert said water at the point heretofore hereto-fore specified and during the same period and convey it by means of the canal heretofore used through power plant No. 1 located in the N'fcSEVi Sec. 32, T. 39 S., R. 16 W. from where-it will be conveyed by means of a canal a further distance of approx. ap-prox. 3 miles and discharged into a reservoir known as the Carter Reservoir Reser-voir located in the SW'4 Sec. 18, and NW Sec. 19, T. 40 S., R. 16 W. Said water is to be released and conveyed a further distance of approx. ap-prox. 3 miles and used through power plant No. 2 located in the SE-NWV, SE-NWV, Sec. 26, T. 40 S., R. 17 W. After being so used the water is to be conveyed a further distance of approx. ap-prox. 3 miles thence through power plant No. 3 located in the NW i'E4 Sec. 28, T. 40 S., R. 17 W., thence returned to the natural channel of Santa Clara Creek at a point S. 86 4 5' E. 3 50 5 ft. from the NW cor. Sec. 28, T. 40 S., R. 17 W. Three I'elton wheels operating under a total head of 1191. feet will be used for the development de-velopment of a total of 3060 horse power to be used in Washington and Iron Counties and elsewhere as demand de-mand re(Uires. This application is designated in the State Engineer's Office as File No. a71. All protests against the granting of said application, stating the reasons reas-ons therefore, must be by affidavit in duplicate, accompanied with a fee of $1.00, and filed in this office within with-in thirty (30) days after the completion comple-tion of the publication of this notice.
