With parents involved involv-ed as supporters and leaders, boys in the Cub and Scouting programs, younger brothers and sisters assisting where needed, all are working together and growing closer to one another. The Gerrards are that type of family. Becky is a den leader with three years of experience. Dawn is a Scout Master, now having been a den leader and has six years of experience. Becky and Dawn have two sons, Scott, age 8 and Jason, age 6. Together the Gerrards said Day Camp activities were the most memorable ex- perience so far. "We really had a ball and got to know our sons better." Becky says she would like to feel she helped boys earn their badges, so they could complete Cubbing with honor and pride. Becky likes working with boys. Scouting is an activity where boys can learn new things and meet new people. Dawn feels Scouting helps provide leadership and trains the boys for adult responsibility. Scout Master Dawn wants to share with the boys that there are good things in life and in people and to help boys become better citizens and adults. |
