Show I 1 Lqpoint Paula Huber 247-2425 Residents travel to attend funeral Jim and Elizabeth Esplin left Tuesday, March 1 to attend the funeral of Jim's brother, Roland Esplin. Roland's funeral was in Orderville, Utah. Greg and Janae Morrison of Vernal rode to the funeral with them. Janae is Jim's and Elizabeth's daughter. The Loyal Cox family had their son Dallen and his family visiting them over the w eekend. Then Sunday the rest of the family came, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Cox of Vernal and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Lemon of Lapoint. Loyal and Odean have eight grandchildren and one on the way. Scout Troup 239 held their Klondike Derby over the weekend. They received second place in the sleigh design, second place in the bridge building division, and fourth place in the signaling division. There were 34 boys from Lapoint. Dale and Dollie N'yberg hosted a birthday bir-thday celebration over the weekend in honor of Dollie s mother Gay Norton. All the Norton family were in attendance: Gay and Jim Norton of Price, Jodie Norton Nor-ton of Price, Jim and Pam Norton of San-taquin, San-taquin, Craig and Marilyn Norton and Shawn and Jeanie Hawk, all of Lyman, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Lance Hancock of Roosevelt were dinner guests on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hor-rocks. Hor-rocks. It was the Horrocks' daughter's birthday, Becky. Patsy Serrano of Vernal was in Lapoint La-point visiting her two daughters. Mrs. Bruce Horrocks and Mrs. Ronney Horrocks. Word was received of the death of Mrs. Morgan Harrison's mother, Elizabeth Bowden. The Harrisons are former residents of Lapoint. The funeral service was held in the Olpin Mortuary. Grant and Robin Green has been staying stay-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James McManigal in Roosevelt. Robin's grandmother grand-mother is very ill. James and Sharon McManigal are in Idaho Falls with her now. Grant and Robin are taking care of Robin's younger brother and sister while her parents are gone. |
