Haymakers Pride, owned by Udell Gardiner and ridden by Brent Anderson, snared first place in the first race in the quarterhorse futurity trials with a time of 14.80 and Vandettas Star, owned by Ron Worster and ridden by Adams, nabbed second at 14.95. Miss Tulsa Town, owned by Randy Hartman and ridden by Jensen, placed third at 15.36. Cash In Dark produced cash in the light as it placed first in the second race in the quarterhorse futurity trials with a time of 14.68 and I Like Diamonds, owned by Rocky Mountain Speed Farms and ridden by Jensen, nabbed second at 14.74. Bit 0 Boy, owned by Phil Timothy and ridden by Brown, netted third. Real Pac, owned by Sybil Phillips and Shirley Gardiner and ridden by Anderson, collected first place in the third quarterhorse futurity trials race at 14.65 and Mr. Storms Boy, owned by Dempsey Day and ridden by Troy Day, nabbed second at 14.72 and Chickey Can Do, owned by Laraine Murray and ridden by Barter, finished finish-ed in third place at 15.08.
