Show Tired drivers get 'hot' aid by CBers Some citizens band radio enthusiasts in Idaho planned to serve 2,000 cups of coffee to tired motorists during the Memorial Day weekend. Punch and cookies were also available at the Interstate 84 rest stop about eight miles west of Boise. CB radio groups in Utah were also in the act, setting up refreshment stations along 1-80 east of Salt Lake City and 1-15 in northern Utah. The Idaho group collected over 1,100 signatures of motorists who stopped during Memorial Day weekend, 1981, including that of former Gov. Cecil Andrus. |
