The scholarship was given to Tammy with the stipulation that she must complete com-plete her RN training to receive the full amount. Xi Alpha Xi chose to give a Nursing scholarship as their Service Project because of the great need in the area for nurses and because two of their members are registered nurses: Evelyn Herbst, who works part time as an instructor for LPN and Student Aids in the Med-Surgical field at the Ashley Valley Medical Center, and Pat Searle, who is now retired, but has worked in Vernal as an RN for many years. ts ..
