Show Nominations open for HCA honor Nominations for the Dr. Thomas F. Frist Humanitarian Award, to be given to a full-time employee at Ashley Valley Medical Center, can be made to the hospital's personnel department before Friday, July 16, 1982. Each year Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) selects an employee as the winner of the award, named after one of the founders of HCA. Ashley Valley Medical Center is selecting for the first time a local employee of the year who will receive $250 and a lucite plaque. The local recipient will be eligible for the divisional and national awards offered by HCA. The local winner will be selected from nominations by a committee consisting of hospital employees and a physician. Persons interested in nominating an employee for the award should contact the hospital personnel office and obtain a nomination form. Employees who have demonstrated exceptional care and service to the hospital and its patients should be recognized by the award. The winner need not work in the area of direct patient care, but should have made a contribution to patient welfare, coworkers co-workers morale, and community betterment. All nominations must be submitted to the hospital personnel department bv Friday, July 16, 1982. The winner will be selected the week of July 19 and announced the first week of August. |
