Billy Joe Shaver is getting ready for a summer tour to promote his upcoming self-titled self-titled album. Shaver is known as a hit songwriter, having penned such tunes as "If You Ask Me To" for Elvis Presley. "Old Chunk of Coal." recorded record-ed by Johnny Cash and John Anderson, "Honky Tonk Heroes" for Waylon Jennings and "Sweet Mama" for the All-man All-man Brothers. Columbia has already released the first single from the upcoming album, "Ride Me Down Easy." Shaver wrote the tune, which has already been a hit for Bobby Bare. ompulog |
