Show - " j f f,, " X MARK MERVIN THOMAS Thomas interred in Maeser Former resident of Vernal, Mark Mervin Thomas, was interred in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery, Monday, Dec. 24. Funeral services were held Monday in the Vernal Mortuary Chapel with prelude and postlude music by Danna Dee Smith. "Love One Another", was performed by Danna Dee Smith, Carol Feltch, Lorna Condon and Laura Hacking, Hack-ing, and the invocation was offered by Lynn Mecham. Another musical, "These Hands," was performed by Shara Hacking accompanied ac-companied by Laura Hacking, and Glade Sowards spoke. "Not Now But in the Coming Years", was sung by Glade and Elizabeth Sowards accompanied by Laura Hacking and Dale Thomas gave the benediction. Dwayne Thomas dedicated the grave. Thomas died at his home in Placer.-. '' ville, Calif. Dec. 16 of a heart attack.' He was born Dec. 22, 1898 in Pringle, S.D. to Mark Esquire Thomas and Mary Adeline Hollenbeck. In 1919 he married Ada Marie Elliott in Rifle, Colo. While he lived in Vernal he operated a tire shop. He also worked as a mechanic and motel manager. Pallberers at the funeral were Bret Thomas. Dwayne Thomas, Dale Thomas, Burnel Slaugh, Roger Perry, . and Cliff Perry. f' Thomas is survived by his widow of Placerville, Calif. ; a son, Ivan L. Thomas, Vernal; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence Thomas of Redding, Calif.; Lloyd Thomas, Salt Lake City, Ut.; and William Thomas, Placerville, Calif. ; and a sister, Mrs Myrtle Swartz, Salt Lake City, Ut. |
