Show Writers league to accept new members The Uintah Writers League is accepting accep-ting new memberships for the upcoming upcom-ing year. The organization is sponsoring a local contest in 1980 for the member who collects col-lects the most "white badges of courage," commonly known as rejection rejec-tion slips. The public is welcome to attend the meetings of the league in the public library the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. However, one must be a . member of the Uintah Writer League to enter the contests. Several members of the club have published articles and stories in national na-tional publications since the league's beginning, and the club is looking forward for-ward to seeing more names in print this year. "Whether you like to write fiction or non-fiction, children's books or adult novels, you can profit from the enthusiasm en-thusiasm generated by this group," said Bonnie Howe, president-elect. This year the league will concentrate on critique and the sending of manuscripts to publishers. Any aspiring aspir-ing writer, of any age, is urged to attend. : ...... v " , ' V.
