Show Ballard 1 Telintha Pasmussen I Phonr.- 722-4075 Youths join in hay ride October 30 the Ballard Ward Mutual Youth met at the Heber Rasmussen home and went for a hayride, with a tractor pulling a wagon down into the hills south of Ballard church. They went through a spook alley in the old Jr. Jenkins home and had refreshments at the Verdon Ilea ton home. Mutual leaders are Elvin Kettle and Alice Ilea ton. Mr. and Mrs. Alden White of Logan were here last week visiting at their daughter's home the Karl Betts, and their son's home, the Neil Whites. A nomination meeting for two members of the Board of Trustees of the Ballard Water Improvement District will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, November 9th in the Ballard Ward Recreation Hall. The two incumbents whose term in office has expired are Lee Angus and Orlan Cook. Maree Berkman was in Salt Lake last week getting medical care for he baby; Beatrice Lundlerg accompanies her. Zane and Virga Asay spent last wee in Salt Lake City. Virga, did geneolog research and Zane helped one of hi children on their home. Telintha Rasmussen has anothe erandson. born October 28 in Ontarir CA., to Mr. and Mrs. Josepl Rasmussen. He weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. am was named Joseph Dale, Jr. Othe grandparents are, Mr. and Mrs. Elde Radmall of Claremont, CA. Greal grandparents are Joe and Leeto Lamar Radmall of Salt Lake City. Alta Kettle, is recovering satisfac torily after major surgery in a Sal Lake hospital. Last Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Lavoi Anderson went to the Provo temple to do temple work. Dorothy Kettle, Ine Kettle and Beatrice Lundberg ac companied them. Weekend visitors at the Heber ani Ruth Rasmussen home were Mr. ani Mrs. J.B. Hokanson and five children c Idaho Falls, Idaho. J.B. is Ruth' brother. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bobstick hav moved to Neola to live. They sold thei home on U.S. 40 to Mr. and Mrs. Calvi; Nunley from Bluebell. Ruth Sprouc Swarts, used to own Nunleys new home Two babies were blessed and name in Ballard Ward Sacrament Meetin; last Sunday. Keith Haslem's daughte was given the name, Andrea, by he father. Allen Betts daughter was give the name, Charlotte Marie, by he father. Gil Burkman confirmed his 8 year ol daughter, Velvet Maree, a member c the LDS church last Sunday. Next Sunday will be another wor day on Ballard Ward farm, "4 mil south of Ballard church. Both men ani boys are invited to participate. Priesthood Meeting next Sunday wil be held on a Stake basis at the Staki building in Roosevelt at 8 a.m. Daniel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanle' Womack arrived home last Saturda; night from San Diego, CA., where hi has served a two year LDS mission. Hi parents picked him up at the Salt Laki airport. The Clark Miller baby was blesse and named by her father in Nortl Ballard Ward Sacrament meeting las Sunday and given the name of, Megan Special guests for the occasion wen her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gran Miller from Salt Lake City. Kenneth Womack is spending twi weeks in Ely, Nevada, where he i working for Jack's Insulation 0 Roosevelt. Mrs. Myrtle Knox, who has bee visiting her niece, Mourine Hobbs, for ; week returned to her home in Denve last Friday by airplane. Myrtle is 9 years old. |
