Show Cutthroat eggs to be planted inFlaming inFlaming in inFlaming Flaming Gorge The Division of Wildlife Resources has agreed to supply the United States Fish and Wildlife Service with about cutthroat eggs The eggs to be collected during this springs Strawberry Reservoir cutthroat run will be hatched at the Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery northeast of Vernal The fish will be raised to five inches at the hatchery and stocked in inFlaming inFlaming Flaming Gorge next spring as part of an experiment management program W Wyoming oming Fish and Game officials will stock cutthroat in the reservoir this spring The two states are looking for a fish ish with better survival survival sur sur- vival and growth than the rainbow trout now present in Flaming Gorge The DRW's Fisheries Section hopes the introduction of cutthroats will also help to reduce the large populations of Utah chub and white sucker Because of the location of Flaming Gorge Utah and Wyoming cooperate on the management of the reservoir The two states have worked t together gether since surveys were taken during the |
