| Show Vernal City property rezoned l Following a public hearing concerning the request by a group o of citizens headed by Donnell Wardle to have property properly located at about South on 1500 West Street near US 40 rezoned from RA 1 to R 2 the council approved their request THE TIIE PREVIOUSLY RA 2 designation residential- residential a agricultural will be officially changed to R 2 residential following the publication of the new law The rezoning allows for the property to be used for residential use of higher density up to and including the building of 4 The property had previously been zoned for the mixing of residential and agricultural uses The council established the Upper Maeser Water Storage Tank construction to be at the top of the list of priorities in compliance with the Economic Development Administrations Administration's request to establish a list The city was following a request by the administration to establish a list of priorities in city development should federal funds from the EDA be made available It was noted that the funds may be available in the next four or five years for projects that are deemed necessary by the city IN OH ORDER ER of importance the council established the following list of priorities 1 storage tank 2 Water System Expansion 3 3 wide Valley-wide Sewage System 4 South St. St Culvert 5 5 Road Improvements Improvements Improvements Im Im- Im- Im 6 6 Parking Facilities 7 Parks Recreation Development 8 8 Water Treatment Plant 9 9 Industrial Park and 10 Golf Course Expansion Following the compiling of the list of priorities it was mentioned the list could be changed on a yearly basis depending on the fluctuating needs of the people Waterline extension requests brought in by Larry Jackson for 2500 South and East Terry Montgomery for South St. St from rom 1500 East to 1000 East and Val Middleton for 2000 West between and 1000 South were all aU disapproved by the council The council feels the waterline system is currently overextended and in many cases undersized Many of the lines are 4 in the southern part of the system and by adding on more extensions the risk of not providing adequate service to all the city's water users is increased CITY MANAGER I Glade I I.
