Show A TERRIBLE FALL. On Tuesday afternoon last Mr. T.R. Jackson fell from the roof of Hyrum Edwards' two-story house in the Third Ward, a distance of 25 feet; and though not dangerously injured was very painfully hurt. He was engaged in painting the shingles of the structure, when some brackets by which he had been supported gave way, and he went sliding down the incline of the roof. He could catch at nothing to stay his progress, and so was precipitated to the ground. His whole body was terribly shaken and bruised, but particularly his arms and legs; but fortunately no bones were broken. H.K. Cranney, Esq. [Esquire], was called in; and he gave the necessary assistance. |
