Show AN ORDINANCE. In Relation to Streets and Sidewalks and Surveying Additional Blocks and Streets. SEC. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of Logan City, that the street running east and west between Block Four, (4) of Plat A, and Block one, (1) of Plat B, both of Logan City survey is hereby named First Street; the next street north of First Street, running east and west, is named Second Street; the nest street running east and west, north of Second Street, Third Street; the next Fourth Street, and so on and so far as the city shall be extended to the north. SEC. 2 The streets running east and west which are located south of First Street are hereby named as follows, to wit. The next street south of First Street is named First South Street; the next Second South Street; and so on as far as the City shall extend to the south. SEC. 3. The streets running north and south are hereby names as follows, to wit: The most easterly street of plat A and C, Logan City survey, is named Canal Street; the next street west of Canal street is named Perry Street; the next, Monroe Street ; the next Arch Street; the next Pine Street; the next Franklin Street; the next, Main Street; the next Washington Street; the next Johnson Street; the next Thomas Street; the next, Chestnut Street; the next Walnut Street; the next West Street. SEC. 4. The width of sidewalks of Main Street shall be sixteen feet, and in all other streets the width of sidewalks shall be twelve feet, reckoning from the fence line to the inner edge of the water ditch. SEC. 5. The line of shade trees shall be eighteen inches from the inner edge of the water ditch. SEC. 6. Whenever it shall be necessary to survey blocks and streets as additions to said city, said blocks and streets shall be so laid as to correspond with those adjoining, both as to direction and width. SEC. 7. All sidewalks in streets four rods wide, shall be ten (10) feet in width from the fence line to the inner edge of the water ditch. SEC. 8. Any person violating this ordinance shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars for each offense. |
