Show WIRE FENCE. Mr. George A. Lowe comes out this week in an announcement relating to Barbed Wire Fence. The article for which Mr. Lowe is agent is said to be the best in the market, having many points of excellence not possessed by ordinary wire for fencing. H.? B.? Scott & Co., the manufacturers, make the following claims: It is the only cable wire manufactured without twisting the strand. Our wire is plaited exactly similar to the wire cables so extensively used in the wire bridges, (and so used, because great strength and a proper provision for contraction and expansion from heat and cold required.) Others seeking to imitate our goods twist the wires together, thereby ruining the wire. We are the only parties who have the machinery for manufacturing the wire without twisting the single strand. Consequently we warrant our wire stronger than any other made. Our wire, strongly and perfectly cabled with four pointed barb, weighs less to the rod than the loose twist, cheap, scraggy appearing two-pointed wire. Contraction and expansion from heat and cold are more perfectly provided for than is possible in any other wire. We have nothing coiled around the main wires to rust them off in a single season. |
