Several of the boys were close. The writer had 580, just exactly what he had last week. I think the reason for the slip was too much fight on the radio. Team 1 went into second place. Mickey Callisto, Pete Borich and Ben Montoya compose this team. They sent Team 6 from second to fourth. Team 7, George Ab-planalp, Ab-planalp, captain, is still on top. They took 3 points Wednesday. But any team that could go on a winning streak could reach the top. Bowling is really going over this season. The Gemmell alleys are averaging 100 lines a day. With some young bowlers coming com-ing that will bear watching. The Udies are turning in some great scores and they have several sev-eral stars in the making. Shirley Susaeta hit the honor roll for the second straight week, getting 516 Tuesday. She was joined by Marian Johnson who had a 504. There will be two team matches Sunday evening between local shooters against Salt Lakers. Next weeks schedule for the classics: Teams 3 vs 4 on alleys 1-2; Team 1 vs 2 on alleys 3-4, at 7 o'clock; at 8:30 its 7 vs 8 on 1-2, and 5 vs 6 on 3-4. |
