Eggs have been selling in Duchesne from 40 to 50 cents. The contest case of M. B. Pope against C. L. Ashton for the position of county attorney will be heard in Duchesne on the 18th, after finishing the term in Uintah county. C. W. Smith, Republican candidate for county assessor has filed a similar case against Glen Lambert of Roosevelt, the Democrats elected. A party was held at the home of Fred Davis Wednesday evening in honor of his daughter, Maggies birthday and a number of her friends attended. ON ROAD POSSIBLE Cooperation of Three Counties Would Bring Appropriations Of $44,600 Through united effort af the boards of commissioners of Carbon, Duchesne and Uintah counties, it would be possible to secure the expenditure of $44,000 for road appropriation between Helper and Vernal. One half of this amount would come from the federal government and the other half from the state road fund In which the several counties participate and from the forest reserve fund In the event it is possible to secure the $44,000, the road from Vernal to Helper would he made one of the finest in the state and The delinquent tax list of Uintah county contains the names of property owners in the disputed strip. Both counties have assessed the proerty lying east of the 110th meridian. There seems to be but one solution for this vexed the question, a court decision in matter. Work is still plentiful in the county seat and anyone here needing a job has no excuse for being idle. On every other comer there is building activity and good men are in demand. This condition will prevail until after the stormy weather set3 in.
