Fire Discovered Near Buckeye Over the 4th Officials of the U. S. For. est Service on the Moab Ranger Ran-ger District this week reported re-ported that cne fire was discovered dis-covered over the July 4:li holiday weekend. That fire, which was discovered east of Buckeye Reservoir on Saturday, Satur-day, was apparently the result re-sult of a lightning storm several sev-eral days earlier. According to the report, the blaze smouldered in 3 large Ponderosa Pine until Saturday when light breezes threw sparks to the ground causing several spot fires which burned together to encompass en-compass about an acre. Forest Service officials urg. ed visiters to the mountain to be extremely careful with fire and to make sure that campfires are completely out before leaving a campsite. They noted that one man-caused man-caused fire had been discovered discov-ered on the mountain earlier this year and fhat conditions are now rapidly approaching the critical stage.
