Show 1 c X c DAV Assists Veterans It was reported today by Mr. George L. Carey, national service officer for the Disabled American Ameri-can Veterans that during the just concluded fiscal year, 1972-73, his office had won and protected almost two and a half million dollars ($2,417,-314) ($2,417,-314) in Veterans Administration Admin-istration benefits for Utah's Disabled Veterans and their survivors. According to NSO Carey these monetary gains resulted re-sulted from the DAV's prosecution of 1,549 claims for disabled veterans vet-erans and veteran's widows wid-ows from all part of the state of Utah. Because of the extremely ex-tremely heavy claims load handled by his office over the last several years, Mr. Carey reports it has become necessary to employ another service ser-vice officer to assist in the work. Associated with Mr. Carey now is Wallace H.
