Show Services For Gay C. Brown Held Saturday Funeral services were held Saturday, August 4, at the Community Baptist Church for Gay C. Brown, 92, a resident of Moab for the past 57 years. Rev. F.mil M. Balla officiated. of-ficiated. Mr. Brown passed away suddenly in Durango on August 1, during a visit with his daughter, Mrs. Frank Lambo. He suddenly sud-denly became ill Wednesday Wednes-day evening and died en-route en-route to a Durango hospital. hos-pital. He was born August 14. 1880 in Iowa. He married Elizabeth M. (Betty) Niehaus in Cripple Crip-ple Creek, Colo, on Dec. 25. 1910. She passed away April 11, 1971. During his life in Moab he worked in a logging operation on the LaSal Mountains and was also involved in the construction work on the Dewey Bridge. He was an active member of the Mo-abites Mo-abites Senior Citizens Club. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. L. N. Meador, Paradise, Cal.; Mrs. Kenneth Carlisle, Farmington. New Mexico; Mexi-co; and Mrs. Lambo of Durango; and a son. Albert Al-bert Brown of Moab. There are eleven grandchildren grand-children and six great grandchildren. Burial was at the Grand Valley Cemetery under the direction of Turner Funeral Home. Attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. John Brown of Monticello; Mr. and Mrs. Gene (Vicky) S t e v e n s o n . Flags ta f f .
