Show Marijuana Gets Arrest for Calif ornian Ralph Benson of the Utah Highway Patrol reported re-ported that he had arrested arrest-ed a Fullerton, California Don Willard Loef-fler, Loef-fler, 19, for improper registration reg-istration and possession of marijuana. The arrest was made September 10, V.2 miles west of Crescent Junction. Loeffler appeared in Moab Mo-ab City Court on September Septem-ber 11, and plead guilty to the charge of improper registration and was fined fin-ed 25 which was paid. He entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of possession of marijuana and requested time to consult counsel. Bond- was set at $500. On September 14, he reappeared re-appeared with Attorney Luke Pappas and entere'd a plea of not guilty. Later that same day he again appeared and changed his plea to guilty. He was sentenced, to 6 months in the Grand County Jail with the ' sentence suspended sus-pended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. Judge Donald Crist contacted con-tacted the Chief of the Fullerton police force and requested that the Commander Com-mander of the investiga- tion division, ' Captain C. V. Davis,, sign a monthly report on Loeffler for the period of his probation. He will also supervise the probation to .make sure that Loeffler does not violate vi-olate any terms of his probation. pro-bation. His car, a 19C7 Volkswagen Volks-wagen was impounded, by Highway Patrol officers and is being kept by the State pending a trial to determine if it will be sold. |
