Show County Nursing Heme Proposal Going to the Voters in PJovembr Grand County Commissioners Commis-sioners met Monday after two week's recess and adopted ad-opted a resolution to put Hie matter of building a County operated nursing home on the November ballot. The requirements will call for a V.',W bond which will pay for t he county's half of a pro. posed ;:() bed unit. A Iliil-R'nton Iliil-R'nton grant would provide pro-vide the remainder of the funds, however, no word has been received from the foundation about whether whe-ther or not they would bo interested in funding this building. J. Kay Hawks, hospital administrator, met whh the Commi (sinners to discuss dis-cuss the nursing home, slow collections at the liosspjtal, and pioposed raises in hospital staff salaries. No action was taken ta-ken by the Commission on the salary increases. The Commissioners signed sign-ed an agreement with the V. S. Forest Service for surfacing of the Loop Road. The County is to do the 'work and they are to be reihi!rrs.-d W,7W by the Forest Service. The work on this project will begin next spring. Other business concerning concern-ing roads in the LaSal Mountains included the r."-cip of a letter from the J. S. Department of Agriculture and the Office Of-fice of Management and Budget which slated that in n-ply to requcrts from the Commission for more finds for improvement on the mountain roads, li'-no was available. The letters stated that cuts in road monies. had been mad:' and no additional funds would be available in the near future. County Engineer John Keogh reported to the Commission on a suggestion sugges-tion by Isbill Associates for repair of the airport runway.
