Show Thompson News By VIRGINIA GRUVERc Thursday, the 10th of September, the Kennecott Copper Acid Plant was abuzz again with more than just the trucks running in and out. Bob Fine and help er were out to repair a loading stand and do some miscellaneous welding. Also Al-so at the plant was Mr. Earl Butler, one of the bosses from Salt Lake City. With Mr. Butler were 3 gentlemen also from the Salt Lake offices taking notes on the workings of the plant as well as acid samples to take pack to Salt Lake. Mac Butler left Friday for a 4 day week end in Salt Lake City, his home town. Mac will return to the Kennecott Copper Plant on Wednesday for his last working period before returning home so he can start back to school the 28th. Friday, September 11, 1970, Joe and Kyla Jeffries Jeff-ries new trailer home was finally delivered. Their new home is parked on Kennecott Copper property proper-ty and is a 12 x 60 Kit home with gold and avocado avoca-do green decor to set off the dark wood paneling. It is a 2 bedroom home with bay windows at each end and large windows on one side of the center living room. The road to the Indian reservation was washed out and a bunch of town people took plows and scraper and went up and repaired it the best they could. Of course a little help besides Thompson people would be appreciated. appreciat-ed. One real good rain and their work is wasted because be-cause no dozer is available to aid them. |
