Show East Carbon Faces Winning Moab Devils Region Six football gets down to serious business this week with a full slate of games, some of them of the crucial variety. The Vikings cf East Carbon, Car-bon, 2-1 on the season, will be at Moab for an 8 p.m. game against an undefeated, un-defeated, once tied Red Devil team. Moab's tie came against Monticello, and counts in the region standings. The Vikings have not played a region game. Both teams are coming off impressive victories. East Carbon whipped Man-ti, Man-ti, 18-12 Friday, and Moab upended Cortez 34-12. East Carbon has a new coach, Doug Ilintze, an alum of the Carbon school. They have two exceptional exception-al players in Carl Cochrane, Coch-rane, the 230 pound state shotput champion, and speedy Glen Lewis, a 160-pound 160-pound junior halfback. Moab will counter with scatbacks Kim Xeal and Dave Biersehied and a steady defense. The Devils have scored GO points while holding their opponents oppon-ents to 25.
