Moab's Cleanup Drive Considered Big Success by C ommif tee Moab's cleanup campaign was held last Saturday with Moab City and Grand County crews on hand to remove trash from yards around the community. Five dump trucks were kept busy throughout the day while a number of organizations organ-izations brought in more than 2 tons of garbage to the City Shop on Cane Creek Blvd. which was weighed by members of the Moab Jay-cees. Jay-cees. Winner in th& contest whicb was sponsored for organizations organi-zations bringing in the most trash was the Girl Scout Troop 714 which collected about 2 tons of the total garbage. gar-bage. The girls in the troop will receive a check for $50, which according to a leader of the group will be used to help pay for a group outing. Winning in town, the City and County crews also burned weeds along al-ong the streets and roadways! in the City. Some sixteen men were available to work on Saturday. Many residents' also al-so turned out to help clean, up their own yards, the primary pri-mary goal of the campaign. Youngsters who participated participat-ed in the "Trade a bag of trash" portion of the campaign cam-paign were served hot dogs and other refreshments at the City Park Saturday by members of the Business and Professional Women's Club.
