Show Aden Johnson Lists Objects Of Campaign Arden Johnson, a native of Moab, was picked as the man to represent the Moab Citizens Party in the race for Mayor in the coming election. el-ection. This brings the total number num-ber of candidates for that office to four; the others being be-ing Harold Jacobs, Richard S. Parsons, and incumbent, Winford Bunce. Mr. Johnson has organized organiz-ed his platform to promote those things he feels arc most important to Moab City. He will encourage new industry in-dustry wishing to establish in this area and will promote pro-mote the tourist trtade. High on Mr. Johnson's list of priorities, is the promotion promo-tion of progress and plan-" plan-" ring within the city, and he will encourage new building here and hopes to promote a clean-up campaign to help the appearance of the city. Good relations between the city and county are also s necessary part of a working work-ing city government, according accor-ding to Mr. Johnson. He feels that we in Moab must set our standards high if we are to achieve all we should. Another basic part of Mr. Johnson's campaign' will be his desire to utilize tax money mon-ey in a way that will best benefit Moab. He also, if elected, el-ected, hopes to curtail large expenditures and hold the . line on indebtedness. |
