Show High School News The 4th, 5th and filh Grades will present a Christmas Program for the public on December 20th at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Mrs. Hannah Pittman, School Health Nurse, with three assistants conducted conduct-ed a TB clinic on December Decem-ber 11. Over 200 people were given the skin tests under the supervision of Dr. Robert Scribner. Helen Stephens, specialist spe-cialist on speech and hearing, has been in the school conducting tests and instructing teachers and parents of children who have problems in these areas. School will adjourn on December 21st for the Christmas Holidays and will resume on January 2nd. The school day missed this week because of heating problems will be made up on January 5l h. The Green River Pirates Pir-ates split a two-game series last week-end on the road. The Fscalante Moquis were out to avenge av-enge iheir loss of the week before ihe Pirates had to overcome a 13-point 13-point deficit before edg- ing the Moquis G8-(i7. Jody Slansworth scored 28 points to pace the Pirate come-back. Saturday Sat-urday night saw the Green River team on the losing end of a close game with the North Sevier Wolves. Final score was 70-01 with Russell Odle lipping in 17 points for high-point high-point honors. Wednesday, December 12th, the Pirates Pir-ates traveled to Price for a return match with the Carbon High JV's. Final score was 'JIJ-52 wkh the Pirates taking an easy win. Jeff Acer-son and Jody Slansworth scored 20 points each, Neal Kk-ker Kk-ker had 19, and Tim Ve-tere Ve-tere accounted for 18. Next home game for the Pirates will be with the North Sevier Wolves on December 22nd. The first home League encounter for the Pi rates will be against the Duchesne Kagles on December 28. Come out and support our team! The recent census conducted con-ducted by the Green River faculty shows an interesting in-teresting trend in future school enrollment. At present, a total of 134 boys and 127 girls attend the Green River School. These are the Krriery j County studrrils only and do not include tho.se from ! Grand County.
