Show County Hears Request for Street Lights Grand County Commissioners Commission-ers Monday heard a request for street lighting to be installed in-stalled in Spanish Valley. The road on which the lighting was requested is a paved road in the County. No action was taken on installation installa-tion of the lights pending an investigation of the matter. County Commssioners " suggested sug-gested that the group of residents resi-dents living in Spanish Valley Val-ley designate street names for the roads located there for ease in designating a certain area. Attorney Robert Ruggeri requested that the Commission Commis-sion correct a tax deed which ,was sold in 1959. According to Ruggeri, there is a discrepancy discrep-ancy in the property dsecrip-tion. dsecrip-tion. The Commission members mem-bers agreed to look into the matter. Civil Defense Director Mrs. Floyce Wells told the Commission Com-mission that Nov. 17 through 20 would be a nationwide civil civ-il defense alert and would be used to test plans made by the cities, counties and states across the country. This is the first such alert since 1966. |
