Show Range Rides Slated by Fish and Game Annual spring range rides to survey range conditions on many of the deer wintering areas will soon get into full swing and are expected to attract at-tract the interest of many sportsmen in addition to personnel per-sonnel from the Division of Fish and Game, U. S. Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management. The Division of Fish and Game welcomes and encourages encour-ages individuals or groups to join on the range surveys as this is the only way they can see for themselves the actual range conditions on the various var-ious deer winter ranges. Information gained on these tours, together with other data, da-ta, will be considered by the Board of Big Game Control in setting this fall's deer hunts. Many of the range rides ate conducted by horseback, but some are walks or travel is by motor vehicle. Some of the early rides have already been completed, others are set for late March dates so anyone interested should contact local conservation conser-vation officers or any of the x regional offices for details on meeting times and places. |
