Show Copperton Girl Scout Troop 95 enjoyed a roller skating party Friday evening at the Kooler roller skating rink in Midvale. Their leader, Mrs. Harriet Bolton Bol-ton and Mrs. Grant Douglas accompanied ac-companied them. Those attending attend-ing were Joyce Farley, Beverly Ray. Joyce Olsen, Freddie Fike, Trudy Douglas, Janell Hansen, JoAnn Rasmussen, Ann Houghton, Hough-ton, Jean Hausknecht, Joyce Jackson, Gay Armitstead, Beverly Bev-erly Wright, Colleen Larsen and Ann Diederich. A very good time was enjoyed by all. Second year Beehive class of the Copperton Ward MIA enjoyed enjoy-ed Tuesday evening at the home of their teacher, Mrs. W. D. S. Brown. Beehive work was done for honor badges, songs were sung and a good time was had by all. Those attending were Carol Wing, Vonda Olsen, De-Carma De-Carma Lancaster, Janet Bolton, Bonnie Skinner, Marillyn Moore, Marjorie Parker and Sally Brown The purpose for this was on account ac-count of the stake Gold and Green ball; there was no mutual held in the ward. Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. OLsen are very happy to announce the engagement en-gagement of. their daughter, Donna Rae, to Wallace Beck-stead Beck-stead of Riverton. Miss Margie Atwood and Mrs. Glen Gillman of Orem and Mrs. Leonard Pierce of Brigham City were dinner guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterson and family. Mrs. Henry A. Cheevcr entertained enter-tained Sunday in honor of her daughter, Mrs. Allen Peterson, on her birthday anniversary. Others present were Shirley Cheevcr, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Chee-ver Chee-ver and Mr. Peterson of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Birk of Salt Lake City were Sunday dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armitstead and family. Women's Society of Christian Service for Copperton and Lark will meet at the home of Mrs. Ray Watson of Copperton on Tuesday, April 19. Installation of officers will be held. Olsen and family were Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Hooley and family of Provo. Lt. James J. Wing, who has been visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Wing, left Monday to report back to his recruiting office at Chanute, 111. D. B. Fitzgerald attended an Eagles meeting at the Newhouse betel in Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr. Fitzgerald is a state Eagles officer. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Jepperson cf Orem were guests Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. OLsen. Mrs. Frank Finnas and daughter, daugh-ter, Lorraine, left Sunday even ing to visit with friends and relatives re-latives in Grand Junction, Colo. They plan to be gone for three weeks. A candy pull was enjoyed Saturday Sat-urday evening at the home of l'atty Lee iFke. Those attending were Aria Olsen, Roslyn Hansen, Nannette Santistevan, and Mary Lynn Gaythwaite. Friday evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Olsen Ol-sen and family were Mr. and Mrs. Perry Jepperson and Don Whitlock of Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Mayne returned home Sunday from Richmond, Calif., where they have been visiting with their daughter and son in law, Set. and Mrs. Ray Griffiths. Mr. Mayne had left recently to join Mrs. Mayne in California where she has been visiting for, several weeks, and return home with her. Carol Wing was Friday overnight over-night guest at the home of Vonda Von-da Olsen. |
