Show RED CROSS FUNDS MAY BE DONATED BY MAILING THEM Red Cross month ended officially offic-ially with the end of March, but just as the work of Red Cross is never done, the work of the 194!) drive, conducted during March, is over only when everyone has been given an opportunity to contribute, Frank Creer, fund chairman for Salt Lake county ; announced this week. The county quota had not been reached within the month , according ac-cording to Mr. Creer, because of inclement weather, and because all who wished to give have not yet been contacted. It can be reached, he declared, if all who gave last year give the same a-mount a-mount this year. As a result, particularly in the communities of the county out-, out-, side of Salt Lake City, the Fund committees will continue work until everyone in the county has been given an opportunity to contribute. This may take from a week to ten days, and may result re-sult in every community of the county and everyone of the seven sev-en divisions in Salt Lake City reaching their full quota in providing pro-viding for the seventeen services of Red Cross. Those who have been missed in the drive may do their share, according to Mr. Creer, if they will enclose their subscriptions in an envelope and mail it to the American Red Cross, Reason Building. Salt Lake City, Utah. Each subscription received by mail will be credited to the community com-munity from which it originates and not from Salt Lake City. All of the money derived from the campaign will be used for the men in the armed services, for the veterans in the hospitals and in their homes, for the public pub-lic in disaster relief, and for the promotion of the nationwide Red Cross blood bank. As usual, wherever there is human need, the Red Cross will be there just as it has during the disastrous conditions of the past winter. |
