Show LIONS CLUB SEE INTERESTING FILMS Some fifty members of Bingham Bing-ham Lions club were treated to two very outstanding pictures of the scenic beauty of Utah and other features of the state by the Department of Publicity and Industrial In-dustrial Development at the regular re-gular meeting of the club Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, April 20. At the meeting Dr. R. G. Fraz-ier, Fraz-ier, Howard Hausknecht and Lynn Hansen of Salt Lake City were given special recognition by the Lions as they explained their proposed river trip from the mouth of the Yellowstone to New Orleans. The three men have been appointed as goodwill ambassadors from Utah and will endeavor to publicize the state as much as possible during the trip. Stops will be made at many of the principal cities along the way where films and other materials ma-terials will be shown to the public. pub-lic. C. A. "Spud" Morley was endorsed en-dorsed by the club as a candidate for the office of district governor of District 28A and every effort will be made by the local club to see that he is elected. Dale Johnston, John-ston, convention chairman, appointed ap-pointed the following committee to assist in raising finances for the campaign before and during the state Lions convention: R. D. Buckle, Hyman Smernoff, Earl Rager, Wm. Swainston and Bob Jimas. President J. Lynn Booth appointed ap-pointed a nominating committee consisting of four past presidents, C. A. Morley," W. R. Anderson, F. A. Miller and Earl T. James. Their 'selection of candidates will be ready for presentation the first regular meeting in May. Three new members were welcomed wel-comed into the club: Mr. Rager, Mr. Swainston and Mr. Smernoff. |
