Show NED MILLER ELECTED STUDENT BODYPRESIDENT The FAB party Finer Associated Asso-ciated Binghamites elected a president and five other student body officers at the high school elections held Monday. The rival Shmoos party elected only the vice president. Newly elected president Is Ned Miller, who succeeds Ralph Tibbie. Tib-bie. Other officers elected are: Jean Nielsen, vice president; Fatty Ortego, sec. treas.; Don Gust, business manager; Leon Cuthbert, Hi-Lights editor; Bob Edvick, yearbook editor, and Leora Hemmingsen, yell leader. Junior High Elections Fourteen candidates were nam ed Wednesday for Bingham junior jun-ior high school student body offices of-fices and the school's annual final election was set for Monday. Candidates will deliver last minute min-ute campaign talks at an assembly assem-bly Friday, today. Candidates seeking office are: president, Grant Pullan and Gary LaComb; vice president, Colleen Mannion and Pat Ablett; sec.treas., sec.-treas., David Peterson and Joan Nielson; editor and historian, George Massa and Marion Cow-dell; Cow-dell; girls' athletic manager, Marilyn Mar-ilyn Nielson and Carol Gay Wing; boys' athletic manager, Brent Peterson and George Apostal; cheerleader, Vonda Olsen and Sandra Alexander. "CAREER DAY" HELD Bingham high school students got an insight into occupations in which they were interested when "Career Day" was held at the school Tuesday. The day was sponsored by the school in cooperation co-operation with the Bingham Canyon Can-yon Lions club. Ten occupations the students indicated the most interest in were explained by individuals engaged in those vocations. |
