Show BROTHERHOOD MARK TENTH ANNIVERSARY A dinner celebrating the tenth anniversary of Oquirrh Lodge No. 844, Brotherhood of Locomotive Loco-motive Firemen and Enginemen was given by members of Galena Lodge No. 17 at Masonic hall on April 14. The hall was decorated with arrangements of daffodils, potted plants and a beautifully decorated lighted birthday cake with ten candles. The cake was donated for the affair by Mrs. Fawn Price and was later won by President Frank Shatter. One hundred thirty members, partners part-ners and guests were served. President Shafter and Secretary Secre-tary Martin D. Jensen presented 1 ten year continuous membership pins to W. II. Aitken, John Anderson, And-erson, Leonard Anderson, Elvin Armitstead, Frank Begley, Ross M. Cushing, Gail Farnsworth, II. V. Forsnes, Miles Gaythwaite, Herman Jenkins, M. R. Kelly, Ben Price, Raymond Miller, Joe Murano, Donald G. Reid, W. E. Rogerson, Frank Shafter, Clarence Clar-ence Stringham, William Swain-ston, Swain-ston, L. M. Throckmorton, James Vickers, Burt Whetsel, Wallace Thorn, Martin D. Jensen and An-thon An-thon O. Jacobson, who were in attendance. Mrs. Blanche K. Reid presided over the program and introduced JoAnn Murano who played an A and B number on her saxophone accompanied by Mrs. Gay Kend-rick. Kend-rick. Mrs. Nora Austin, president of Galena lodge, gave a short speech of welcome. A trio consisting con-sisting of LaVon and Shirley Anderson and Jack Jensen, rendered ren-dered two vocal selections "My Happiness" and "Far Away Places" Plac-es" followed by two accordion numbers by Marty Peterson. Dona Reid Davis gave two humorous hum-orous readings "Encouragement" and "Its A Man's World". Ned Brown sang "The Desert Song" and "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life" accompanied by Mrs. Austin. Mrs. Kendrick played two piano selections "Madrilena" arid "Clair de Lune" after which President Shafter gave a short speech of appreciation from the Brotherhood Brother-hood to the ladies who presided over the dinner. Mrs. Caroline Murano was chairman of the affair assisted by Nora Austin, Amy Shafter, Marie Hardman, Arvilla Miller, Elva Jensen, Anna, Thompson, Kora Cushing, Mary Sorenson, Ellen Whetsel, Helen Kenner, Fawn Price, Myrtle DeCol and Lucille Rice.
