Show EVANGELINE BOOTH MAY SPEAK HERE If arrangements can be made to secure se-cure a building adequate to contain the crowds eipected to hear her, Evangeline Evan-geline Booth, commander of the Salvation Salva-tion Army in the United States, daughter daugh-ter of General William Booth, will visit this city to deliver one address oa the night of October 24 or on the following night. Miss Booth, who waa formerly in command of the Salvation Army in Canada, is to visit Seattle early ia November, No-vember, and will stop only in the principal prin-cipal cities on her route. Efforts will he made to secure the tabernacle for the eminent religions leader. Adjutant J. D. Sloate, in charge of the work here, says that in Toronto, Canada, a few years ago, the hall in which she spoke contained ROflO persons, while 10.000 others were crowded about the building, unable to gain admission. She is a powerful and magnetic speaker, and makes a deep impression wherever she is heard. |
