Show SCHOOL FOR BLIND AND DEAF OPENED OGDEN", Sept. 11. With an atteud-anre atteud-anre of nsoety five pupils work 1ms been resumed at the state school tor the deaf j and blind. The present attendance doubtless will he increased to something over 100 pupils within the next few weeks aa many of the blind and deaf children will not be able to matriculate matricu-late until then. Tha class rolls at the institution ahow the names of deaf and blind children from practically every state in the intefmountain region. Since school closed early in the summer, sum-mer, the staff of teachers has been increased in-creased by the addition of three more instructors. Miss Mary Hartog of Ogden Og-den becomes a member of the teaching staff and has been given eharee of the first grade for the deaf pupils. Miss Florence Bennett of Ieis Angeles bss ' been employed bv the trustees to teach the deaf children of the third grade. William Kouw of Agent has been en-gsged en-gsged in the industrial department to teach painting. |
