Show REMARKABLE TRIP MADE BY AUTO Mr. George T. Odell, manager of the Consolidated Wagon and Machine company, com-pany, and Mr. Frank Libby, manager of the automobile department, and Mr. H. G. Whitney f the "News" and Mr. C. 8. Burton of the State Bank of Utah returned Saturday evening at 8 o'clock from a 150-mile run from Salt Lake to Payson and return. The trip was made in a "Knox Water-less" motor car j of 30 horse-power. The leather top and storm curtains were found qnite handy on a portion of the trip as it rained heavily. All the hills on the way were climbed without difficulty diffi-culty on the high gear. Sixteen gallons gal-lons of gasoline and one gallon of lubricating lu-bricating oil proved sufficient to cover the journey. This is considered a phenomenally phe-nomenally low figure for a trip of this length, particularly the lubricating oil. The party enjoyed the University meet at Provo. likewise eome fine juicy beef steak at Harrison's hotel in Springville. |
