Dundy, one of. the founders of Lnnapark and a pioneer in the building of the new Coney Island. At 4 o'clock Mr. Dundy's body was removed from the receiving vault in the old Moravian cemetery, Staten Island, to a new vault prepared for it. Promptly on the strike of that hour, all business was suspended. The music stopped and the restaurants ceased to serve their patrons. Thoui lands of visitors were wonder-struck wonder-struck by. the sudden transformation, but wbn they learned the reason, ihey joined in the silent honors to the dead. |
