A Conference between the electrical worker i and President Bancroft has Just been announced. - Electrical Workers strike tonight at 6 o'c ock . . , This announcement is not official, 'but com ss from an authoritative source. It is also announced that the reported confer ince between (representatives of the local onion and W. H. Bancroft, preside at of the Utah Light and EalV way company, has been declared off by the me l. Early this morning a meeting ' was held by the men. The result, while not as yet officially announced, was the strike order.' Including workmen in Ogden, the local division of Electrical Workers numbers almost 200 men. If the strike goes on, power to residence resi-dence districts in this city will be diverted di-verted to downtown lights and plants. If the strike continues until tomorrow night, there will be neither illumination illumina-tion nor power in this city, eoming from the plant of the Utah Light and Railway company. The breach between the Electrical Workers and the management is far- ther i part than ever. All of the men maintain strict secrecy, and have evidently been roach d by the leaders to say nothing. noth-ing.
