Show WOOL OUTPUT LARGE BUT BUYERS ARE FEW MODENA. May L Utah wool is moving mov-ing slowly and the buyers are holding off. It is said they are doing this with the object ob-ject of forcing the growers to accept such figures as they may see fit to offer. Owing Ow-ing to no storage facilities and the unpurchased un-purchased wool having to remain on the ground exposed to the elements until purchased, pur-chased, the idea appears reasonable to entertain. Five hundred thousand pounds of wool have been sheared here so far this season. sea-son. Of this 200,000 pounds nave been purchased by the representatives of Boston Bos-ton firms. Although the Wool Is up to the usual standard aa to length of fleece, and contains con-tains lees grit and dirt than Is usually the case during drier, seasons, the sales have been very slow. The amount so far purchased went at an average of 17 cents to three Boston Arms. . The clip Is quite heavy this year, and probably will require three more weeks of shearing to finish. |
