Show ADVOCATES PENSIONS FOR EVERY MOTHER an i i i t CHICAGO, May 1. No more will the hard-working, conscientious husband hus-band feel obliged to turn over his Saturday Sat-urday night pay envelope to his wife if Prof. Charles Zueblin, University of Chicago, has his way. Not content with delving into the problems of probationary engagements, Prof. Zueblin has tackled the menace of rae suicide. His solution was presented pre-sented in an address before the Society for Ethical Culture. It consists of a system of pensions for motherhood. The plan to which, according to the educator, edu-cator, society in America will sooner or later be driven, contemplates the payment to every mother of an income graded not according to her husband's salary, but according to the 'number of children. It is to be the same sum for every woman, rich or poor. |
