A certificate of sudlt was presented pre-sented at the meeting here by a well known Chicago accounting firm showing that the amounts so far pledged are In excesa of $4,200,000. Aa up to this time no organised effort has been made to obtain ob-tain subscriptions the figure of $10,000,-000. $10,000,-000. which has been established as necessary neces-sary to establish the Lincoln highway, will undoubtedly be reached in a comparatively com-paratively short time. None of these pledges will be called for until the total is reached, and then the payments may be made during a period of three years, while the actual work of building the highway Is in progress.
